About this activity
We will start the trip with the pickup directly from your accommodation and then take you to Auschwitz Birkenau Death Camp and Wieliczka Salt Mine – two of the most frequently visited sightseeing spots in Poland, with almost 4 mln visitors in 2017(which is almost half of the tourists coming annually to Warsaw). Both sites are inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List and the history behind them is not to be found anywhere else in the world. Auschwitz Birkenau Death Camp is the largest mass murder site in human history where approximately 1.1 mln people lost their lives. During your visit there, you can pay homage to all innocent people who had to work in inhumane living conditions and were killed by the Nazis. You will also have a chance to see people’s personal belongings, objects of everyday use or gas chambers. Wieliczka Salt Mine, on the other hand, was built in the 13th century and was fully operational to as late as 2007. During that time, a plethora of stunning chapels, passages, and sculptures had been created, some of them by miners themselves. You will also see some mining tools, machines as well as genuine saline lakes. These two astounding places combined with an excellent customer service will give you the ultimate experience on this one-day trip from Warsaw.
