We would highly recommend this tour. We had a great guide and a wonderful time. The walk was very enjoyable.
The tour guide didn't seem interested and lost interest half way through. Turned up late. You could see more and learn more by reading up on the history by yourself.
Our guide needs more training. I know we have gotten some of our history wrong, but I think it is important to convey that without cynicism. During part of the tour I wondered if our inexperienced guide even likes our country??? Furthermore, there is a lot more for him to learn! The part of our tour provided in and by the Capitol was exceptional.
We really enjoyed this tour! As we walked from Union Station across the park, the guide told us about the various statues, memorials and areas with personal narratives that helped in our understanding. The Library of Congress was quite spectacular but we were only there for 5 minutes, so we returned later. I think the time there should be increased, perhaps with a small group tour. The Capital tour was very good, although that guide didn't know who Billy Graham was and actually said he was some important guy from the 80's! Maybe suggest the guides do a little research on whoever they're talking about. Overall, we would highly recommend this tour for the information, walking and seeing that was involved.
