It was a very nice experience. The fact that you can take the cruise and spend the day in the other town then jump back on it when you're ready to return regardless of the time you signed up for makes it a perfect day outing. The reviews complaining about the noise of the engine just are not true. The staff is very nice and the recorded tape is very informational. I highly recommend this to everyone who visits this area!
Sales people and cruise personnel were helpful and friendly. The historical narrative was good. It was great to see several monuments from the river. It was a sauna- like day in DC. And the return boat did not have an air conditioned cabin. Even at 6:30 PM it was sweltering.
Great trip down to Alexandria and nice to see the memorials from a different angle. The only thing I'd say is that once the boat got up to full speed, the noise of the engines completely drowned out the taped commentary, which was a shame.
Great tour!
We liked the tour, but the recording was not very personable.
The crew members made it fun. The recorded tape didn't make it very interactive.
