Create Unique Images - Walking Photo Tour

A photo-taking walking tour suitable for all levels, both smartphone users and camera owners, wanting to create unique images of Wellington city.

This tour aims to increase your photo taking creativity by providing easy to use tools and techniques that will help you take interesting images of what’s around you. We’ll help you create unique images for your camera roll, your social feed, or lounge wall!

We will cover:

• Creating ‘stories’ with your images
• Overlaying multiple images to create effects
• Using slow shutter speeds to create blur and dreamy effects 
• Adjusting exposure to create impact

We will walk through the central city taking unique images of some of the main sights and locations. As well as photo taking information, we’ll also point out some of the interesting history and locations that make Wellington city the special place it is.

Please bring your camera or smartphone. As long as you can control the shutter speed on the camera, or by using an app on your phone, you should have all the photo related equipment you need. Depending on your interest downloading additional free apps may be recommended during the walk.

The tour will start at one end of the central city and not return to the same area so please ensure you carry everything you need with you. It will be around 2 ½ hours duration.

Please wear comfortable shoes. While mainly on the flat there will be some steps. We will be outside and as the weather in Wellington can be varied please ensure you wear clothes suitable for the weather for the day of your tour.

Participants will receive a discount voucher for printing an image on a t-shirt, delivered to your address, so you can show off your creativity.
