About this activity
Enjoy the drive from Wellington city over the Remutaka hills to the remote and rugged beauty of the South Wairarapa Coast, where you will experience:
• The charming seaside village of Ngāwī, with it's tractor-lined foreshore
• The enchanting Cape Palliser lighthouse - the 253-step climb up is not compulsory, but well worth it!
• A wild seal colony (seasonal), where you can witness these beautiful and impressive creatures in their natural environment, swimming gracefully in the sea or basking on the rocks.
• Lunch at the Lake Ferry Hotel or the Land Girl cafe, where you can enjoy fish & chips and other local fare in an authentic Kiwi environment
• A wine tasting at one of Martinborough’s boutique wineries, where you can sample anything form sauvignon Blanc to Pinot Noir, and even a local gin!
As time permits, we will also visit local chocolate and cheese shops.
All Rose's tours:
• Are exclusive, private tours. Your group will have Rose and her vehicle entirely to yourselves.
• Fit in with your schedule. Rose will pick you up from the cruise ship port or any city location, at a time that suits you.
• Provide flexibility. In many cases, elements of one tour can be substituted by elements of another.
• Offer comfortable travel for up to five passengers, in Rose’s spacious late model Kia Carnival.

- Collapsible wheelchairs with removable wheels can be accommodated providing the passenger is accompanied by someone who can assist them board and disembark
