Mandarin Capital Combo

The Capital Combo is an entertaining guided tour run by Weta Studio Tours and New Zealand’s national museum, Te Papa. You will experience Wellington’s creative filmmaking culture and learn all about New Zealand’s history. The entire tour is worry-free, as return transport is provided and a Chinese-speaking guide from start to finish.
 
Your tour begins with a guided journey from central Wellington to Weta Studio Tours in Miramar. Your Chinese-speaking guide will show you Wellington film sites along the way. When you arrive, you can take photographs, walk through our mini museum, and browse the Weta Cave shop, which is full of premium, Weta-designed collectibles, clothing, books, and more. Your ticket guarantees you priority seating to Weta’s exclusive behind-the-scenes documentary, with Mandarin subtitles for your enjoyment.
 
Your Weta Cave Workshop Tour will then begin! Guided by a Weta Workshop crew member, you’ll explore a converted area of the Workshop full of props and costumes from your favourite films. From The Lord of the Rings and The Amazing Spider-Man 2, to Avatar and Elysium, hear stories of filmmaking creativity on the Miramar Peninsula. Even see artists work on the tour stage!
 
Your driver will then take you to Te Papa, where you will experience New Zealand’s innovative, interactive national museum, learn all about New Zealand’s history and culture, and see treasures that you cannot find anywhere else in the world.
 
After the tour, enjoy a fine New Zealand lunch at Te Papa before your driver returns you to where you started.
