About this activity
MIXING MOVIE BLOOD
Our crew have been slipping and sliding on faux blood and loose limbs since the days of Peter Jackson’s Braindead (1992). Learn how we make the consistency of blood oh-so-oozy for film and TV, while you whip up a batch to bring home.
CRAFTING CHAINMAILLE
Traditional chainmaille armour, made from thousands of rings of steel linked together, makes for a hard and HEAVY day’s work on a film set. Luckily, during The Lord of the Rings, we developed a light-weight alternative to adorn the armies of Middle-earth! Witness the evolution and create your own custom piece of Weta Workshop chainmaille to take away.
The Movie Blood & Chainmaille Workshop takes place at our off-site group experience spacelocated on Park Road – just a five-minute walk from the Weta Cave. Please arrive 15 minutes before your experience starts.
