Create your own movie magic with a hands-on workshop led by Weta Workshop’s experienced events technicians. Learn tips and techniques from our crew, then take your creation home! No experience or tools necessary. Just bring yourself and your enthusiasm.

Following your creative workshop you will go on 45-minute guided tour which will take you through a converted area of Weta Workshop where you can learn all about the authentic practical effects created for some of the world’s biggest blockbusters: The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, District 9, The Chronicles of Narnia, Avatar, and more. From props, armour, and costumes, to weapons and even vehicles, you’ll learn the story behind how these amazing artefacts were created to bring a director’s vision to life on the big screen.
