When disaster strikes, International Rescue answers the call! Experience this exclusive opportunity to go behind the scenes of Thunderbirds Are Go! Join your talented guide on an interactive adventure through the jaw-dropping miniature world handcrafted by Weta Workshop.
Be dropped by your cruise shuttle to Brandon Street, then choose your mode of transport to Weta Studio Tours: either taxi, or public bus. The number 2 bus, from Lambton Quay (2 mins from Brandon), will drop you on the corner of Darlington and Camperdown Road. From here, it's a short 1 minute stroll to the Weta Cave!
Collect your ticket for the Miniatures Stage Tour from the ticketing desk in the Cave, then hop aboard our Thunderbirds tour shuttle to arrive at the tour space. Here you will visit a genuine shooting stage and discover how the popular television series is created for the small screen! With a “5, 4, 3, 2, 1”, blast off on an incredible journey from initial concepts and storyboards through to the props and models used for Tracy Island, the Thunderbird hangars, Lady Penelope's mansion and more! Includes a rare photo opportunity with the Tracy Brothers in a purpose-built Thunderbirds Are Go set!
Before returning to the Weta Cave, you will be gifted a Thunderbirds collectors pin as a small memento of your experience! Be sure to plan your return transport to Wellington city in advance, to ensure a smooth journey back in time for your cruise departure.
