Learn how physical effects are crafted by our talented team and discover interesting stories behind your favourite films.Your Weta Cave Workshop Tour will then begin! Guided by a Weta Workshop crew member, you’ll explore props and costumes that appear in your favourite films. From The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit to King Kong and District 9, hear our tales of filmmaking creativity on the Miramar Peninsula.
The Miniatures Stage Tour is an interactive adventure guided by the Weta Workshop crew, you’ll learn how clever visual effects artists use CGI to populate the retro-futuristic world of the Tracy brothers. Your talented guides will show how simple, everyday items, with a little creativity, can make imaginary worlds a reality. Nobody knows these miniatures like they do!
Worked up an appetite? Your driver will take you to CoCo at the Roxy, the Roxy Cinema’s restaurant, for a delicious three-course meal. CoCo’s cuisine fuses flavours from across the globe with the best produce our region has to offer. In the Roxy’s gorgeous Art Deco setting, you’ll dine among incredible artworks, movie memorabilia, and sculptures showcasing Weta Workshop talent.
