About this activity
Start your day with pickup from Whistler Village. Transportation is included from the village down to the snowmobile base and back. Dress appropriate for the weather including winter jacket, snow pants, boots, gloves, and goggles. Although it is recommended to bring along your winter gear (i.e. snow pants, jackets, boots, gloves, helmets, and goggles), if you should forget something, you can get setup with everything you need once you're at the base facility at no extra cost. This tour is fully guided, so your guide will greet you off the bus and help you get geared up, give you a safety orientation with the machines, and from there, you will head out on your tour.

The 2-hour tours includes a hot drink and snack at our back-country cabin. The 3-hour tour is more adventurous and covers more area and usually allows you to go off the trail and experience Whistler's outdoor playground. It also includes barbecue lunch at our back-country cabin. Actual ride time on the machines is around 1.25 hours on the 2 hour tour, and 2.25 hours on the 3 hour tour.

Once your tour is finished, you will come back to our snowmobile base, turn in any borrowed gear, and then jump on the bus to take you back into town.

Our three hour snowmobile tour was excellent fun. We were picked up from a hotel in Whistler and driven to the tour base. We rode through winding tracks in a winter wonderland. The snow mobiles we had were brand new so they were comfortable and worked well. The other group didn't have brand new vehicles, but they seemed to work just as well. We rode to a cabin and were welcomed with hot apple cider, a large German sausage and a cookie, all of which were delicious. On our way home we went to a frozen lake where we got to open the snow mobiles up and see what they could do. The whole experience was a blast and something for the bucket list, especially if you come from the tropics like us. Best advice I can give wear your ski gear if you have it. Pants, jacket, googles, gloves just warm gloves will be fine and water proof shoes. You may park your snow mobile in two feet of snow like I did. The tour guide was great about it and had me going again in no time.

i paid for two driving and had to partner up on one snowmobile. On top of that, I payed the insurance for two drivers 40.00 when there was only one driver. Tour was nothing to write home about. Just a simple ride on the trails. No off trail riding!!!
