Your lunch stop will be in the market town of Keswick, where you can try a typical pub lunch, or seek out a charming restaurant. Definitely recommend this small group tour. Visited much of the Lakes, passing thru many valleys and some highlands. Plenty of photo stops and very interesting commentary by Carol.
Geoff was an excellent guide and a great driver. We were blessed with wonderful weather and beautiful scenery. Geoff was extraordinarily patient with a couple who was late at every stop and I commend him.
Had a great day and fit so much in, nice group of people. Peter was really knowledgable, helpful and friendly, fab trip.
The tour was great and we had enough breaks to enjoy the tour to it's best. Although the guide talked a lot about the houses in the park which wasn't really interesting
Excellent value of Money.
This day tour was unquestionably the highlight in our 30 day tour of the UK. In one day we got to see the best of the Lake District. The experience was greatly enhanced by our guide/driver Gerry, whose enthusiastic, entertaining commentary and wealth of knowledge of the Lake District and it's history made this a day to remember. If you have only one day in the Lake District, this is without doubt the tour for you.
This small group van tour is excellent for hearing about and seeing an overview of the lake district, especially if you only have a short time to spend there. Bob, our driver and guide had most interesting stories and background about the sights we were seeing. There were numerous stops to take photos and enough time for getting lunch in Keswick.
