Itinerary

Day 1: Windhoek-Sossuvlei

Stop At: Sossusvlei, Namib-Naukluft Park Namibia
We will pick you up from your hotel or guest house between 7 am and 8 am and depart at 8:30 am straight on the way south to world-famous Sossusvlei via picturesque Spreetshoogte Pass. We will then have a Stop-over at the viewpoint to appreciate the endless view of the Namib. Our lunch at the Solitaire oasis. We will arrive at the lodge or campsite at around 3-4 pm. This time is extremely hot, we recommend that you spend the day cooling off by the pool. Early rest is required as tomorrow you are expected to wake early in the morning.

Day 2: Sossusvlei, Dune 45, Dead Vlei & Sesriem

Stop At: Sossusvlei, Namib-Naukluft Park Namibia
Early in the morning, at sunrise, we will visit the Sesriem Gate to the remarkable Sossusvlei. We start off with climbing picturesque Dune 45, experiencing beauty and vastness of the Orange-colored landscape. Off-road drive to the Dead Vlei, a place of Vast desert pan where dried-up, ancient acacias stand silent in the impressive, open-air gallery. If you have enough energy, you can climb one of the highest dunes on Earth, the ‚Big Daddy ‘or ‚Big Mama. After the morning excursion, we will return back to Sesriem for lunch. We will take a break for 1-2 hours. Once the heat subsides, we will take a short excursion to Sesriem Canyon. This will be our last activities for the day.

Day 3: Sossusvlei to Walvis Bay & Swakopmund

Stop At: Swakopmund Jetty, Swakopmund Namibia
Namibia is a country of contrasts. Today we will move from desert to sea. On our way we will cross the Tropic of Capricorn and traverse the Gaub and the Kuiseb passes, driving down to the dry river bed at the bottom of the Kuiseb Canyon before climbing up the other side and watching the spectacular desert landscape unfold before us. Having arrived at the coast, we will make a stop in Walvis Bay to enjoy the view of flamingos and other birds in the lagoons. We will take a short break for lunch. We overnight in Swakopmund. Dinner tonight is at the client's own expense in a local restaurant.

Day 4: Swakopmund,Cape Cross

Stop At: Swakopmund Museum, Strand Street, Swakopmund Namibia
In the morning we will go on an excursion to the seal colony at Cape Cross, north of Swakopmund, where we will be able to experience thousands of fur seals at close range. The rest of the day will be free with plenty of time to explore the town. Swakopmund is a very pleasant seaside town with lots of shops, a good stretch of beach (although the Atlantic is quite cold here) and an open-air curio market. There is also a very good museum and the Namibian National Marine Aquarium is located in Swakopmund. Alternatively, there are various optional activities that can be arranged. These include a boat-tour (with oysters and champagne) scenic flights and micro-light flights over the desert, fishing trips (either from the beach or in a boat), quad-bike trips into the desert and over the sand dunes around Swakopmund, sandboarding, skydiving and many other activities. Your guide will discuss all the possible optional activities with you and offer to make pre-bookings in advance.

Day 5: Swakopmund to Etosha

Stop At: Etosha Pan, Etosha National Park Namibia
Pick up between 08:00 and 08:30. On our way we will stop in Usakos to fill up with petrol and provisions. Picnic lunch in Outjo. We are expected to arrive in Etosha in the afternoon. Afternoon game drive will be arranged. Dinner will sum-up the adventure.

Day 6: Etosha National Park

Stop At: Etosha Pan, Etosha National Park Namibia
After breakfast start your full-day game drive in Etosha National Park. Visit the waterholes. You will get to visit the Etosha pan (salt pan) before game driving across the park in search of the “Big 5” and other animal species. A light lunch will be provided. After lunch visit the last waterhole that will be the last appreciation of Namibia’s beauty. Before sunset you will head back to the lodge for dinner.

Day 7: Etosha to Windhoek

Stop At: Windhoek City Cab, Windhoek Namibia
Be prepared for the long, scenic transit back to Windhoek. We pass through towns and rural areas, stopping in the small town of Okahandja, the home of Namibia’s largest wood carving market. The stalls operate on a local co-operative basis and offer a vast array of truly Namibian souvenirs. We are back in Windhoek not later than 16:00 hour. You will be dropped off at your accommodation.
