Itinerary

Day 1: Windhoek-Sossusvlei

Stop At: Sossusvlei, Namib-Naukluft Park Namibia
We will pick you up from your Hotel or Guesthouse between 7 am and 8 am and depart at 8:45 am straight on the way south to world-famous Sossusvlei via picturesque Spreetshoogte Pass. We will then have a Stop-over at the viewpoint to appreciate the endless view of the Namib. Our lunch at the Solitaire oasis. We will arrive at the lodge or campsite at around 3-4 pm. This time is extremely hot, we recommend that you spend the day cooling off by the pool. Early rest is required as tomorrow you are expected to wake early in the morning.

Day 2: Sossuvlei, Dune 45, Big Daddy, Dead Vlei & Sesriem

Stop At: Sossusvlei, Namib-Naukluft Park Namibia
Early in the morning, at sunrise, we will visit the Sesriem Gate to the remarkable Sossusvlei. We start off with climbing picturesque Dune 45, experiencing beauty and vastness of the orange-colored landscape. Off-road drive to the Dead Vlei, a place of vast desert pan where dried-up, ancient acacias stand silent in the impressive, open-air gallery. If you have enough energy, you can climb one of the highest dunes on Earth, the ‚Big Daddy ‘or ‚Big Mama. After the morning excursion, we will return back to Sesriem for lunch. We will take a break for 1-2 hours. Once the heat subsides, we will take a short excursion to Sesriem Canyon. This will be our last activities for the day.

Day 3: Sossusvlei-Walvis & Swakopmund

Stop At: Swakopmund Jetty, Swakopmund Namibia
Namibia is a country of contrasts. Today we will move from desert to sea. On our way, we will cross the Tropic of Capricorn and traverse the Gaub and the Kuiseb passes, driving down to the dry river bed at the bottom of the Kuiseb Canyon before climbing up the other side and watching the spectacular desert landscape unfold before us. Having arrived at the coast, we will make a stop in Walvis Bay to enjoy the view of flamingos and other birds in the lagoons. We overnight in Swakopmund. Dinner tonight is at the client's own expense in a local restaurant.

Day 4: Swakopmund-Cape Cross

Stop At: Swakopmund Jetty, Swakopmund Namibia
In the morning we will go on an excursion to the seal colony at Cape Cross, north of Swakopmund, where we will be able to experience thousands of fur seals at close range. The rest of the day will be free with plenty of time to explore the town. Swakopmund is a very pleasant seaside town with lots of shops, a good stretch of beach (although the Atlantic is quite cold here) and an open-air curio market. There is also a very good museum and the Namibian National Marine Aquarium is located in Swakopmund. Alternatively, there are various optional activities that can be arranged. These include a boat-tour (with oysters and champagne) scenic flights and micro-light flights over the desert, fishing trips (either from the beach or in a boat), quad-bike trips into the desert and over the sand dunes around Swakopmund, sandboarding, skydiving and many other activities. Your guide will discuss all the possible optional activities with you and offer to make pre-bookings in advance.

Day 5: Swakopmund-Twyfelfontein

Stop At: Twyfelfontein, Namibia
In the morning, we depart from the coastal town of Swakopmund and continue our safari along the skeleton coast. We will turn east into the desert, towards Brandberg, Damaraland, one of the most magnificent and majestic places in Namibia. In this area, you can find elephants, giraffes, ostriches and a variety of antelopes.

Day 6: Twyfelfontein-Etosha National Park

Stop At: Okaukuejo waterhole, Etosha National Park Namibia
Today we will have an early breakfast. Do our activities in Twyfelfontein, which is a rocky site situated in the Kunene Region of north-western Namibia. The site is one of the largest and most important concentrations of rock art in Africa and was proclaimed a National Monument in 1952. Experience cultural and ethnic meeting with the Damara tribe at the Living Museum surrounded by fascinating nature, rock formations and magnificent landscape of Damaraland. After our morning activities, we will have a picnic lunch along the way and continue through our journey to Etosha National Park.

Day 7: Etosha National Park

Stop At: Okaukuejo waterhole, Etosha National Park Namibia
You will rise early and soon after breakfast start your full-day game drive in Etosha National Park. The early morning hours provide time for magnificent exploration as you visit the waterholes. You will get to visit the Etosha pan (salt pan) before game driving across the park in search of the “Big 5” and other animal species. A light lunch will be provided and allow you some time rest, gathering energy for your next adventure. After lunch and some rest and relaxation you will visit the last waterhole that will be the last appreciation of Namibia’s beauty. Before sunset you will head back to the lodge for dinner where you can share stories of your experiences of the day and also share and compare beautiful photos. After a night of stories and photos, you will turn in for the night.

Day 8: Etosha-Windhoek

Stop At: Namibia Craft Centre, 40 Tal St Old Breweries Complex, Windhoek Namibia
Be prepared for the long, scenic transit back to Windhoek. We pass through towns and rural areas, stopping in the small town of Okahandja, the home of Namibia’s largest wood carving market. The stalls operate on a local co-operative basis and offer a vast array of truly Namibian souvenirs. We are due back in Windhoek in the afternoon/ early evening and you will be dropped off at your accommodation.
