Itinerary

Day 1: Windhoek City – Swakopmund (Recreational Resort)

Stop At: Swakopmund, Swakopmund, Erongo Region
You will be picked up at your hotel and your spectacular holiday journey begins as we proceed to the seaside town of Walvis Bay and Swakopmund located on the Skeleton Coast. Swakopmund is a very pleasant seaside town with lots of shops, a good stretch of beach (although the Atlantic here is quite cold) and an open-air curio market. There is also a very good museum and the Namibian National Marine Aquarium is located in Swakopmund.

Alternatively, there are various optional activities that can be arranged. These include airplane and micro-light flights over the desert, scenic drives, fishing trips (both from the beach or in a boat), four-wheel motorcycle (quad bike) trips into the desert and over the sand dunes around Swakopmund, sand boarding trips (also in the dunes), skydiving, surfing, bird-watching and many other activities are available. Your tour guide will discuss all the possible options with you before you reach Swakopmund and will offer to make bookings in advance of your arrival.

Day 2: Swakopmund - Etosha National Park

Stop At: Okaukuejo waterhole, Etosha National Park Namibia
We leave the coastal town early in the morning to Etosha National Park, Etosha is home to 4 of the Big 5 (elephant, rhino, leopard and lion) as well as a vast quantity of game and birdlife. You will spend 2 nights in bungalows inside the park at the rest camps which all have floodlit waterholes for excellent night time game viewing. Morning and afternoon game drives are included daily in your package.

Day 3: Okaukuejo Wildlife Resort - Namutoni Wildlife Resort (Etosha National Park)

Stop At: Namutoni, Namibia
We travel along the vast salt pan, stopping at various waterholes and game viewing spots along the way in the park. As you continue to your overnight stop you're certain to see plenty of wildlife and eerily beautiful scenery.

Day 4: Etosha National Park – Okonjima Africat Foundation

Stop At: Okonjima Game Reserve, Waterberg Plateau Park Namibia
We arrive in good time to join the afternoon excursion for Africat educational experience, The Cheetah Project, which offers you valuable insight into the welfare work of The AfriCat Foundation. After dinner you can join the night game drive where you may view 'Nightlife' such as porcupine, honey-badgers and caracal, amongst others.

Day 5: Okonjima Africat Foundation – Windhoek City

Stop At: Okonjima Game Reserve, Waterberg Plateau Park Namibia
This morning (day of departure) you will join an optional excursion for Leopard or Cheetah tracking. We then return for a branch meal before departure to Windhoek. We aim to arrive back in the Capital in the mid-noon and you will be dropped off at your accommodation or at Hosea Kutako International Airport for your evening outbound flight.
