Stop At: Naankuse Wildlife Sanctuary, Windhoek Namibia

Your day starts with a 2 hour visit to the local San village you can experience a variety of San activities such as tracking in the veldt (bush), fire making traditional San fire sticks, craft making and hunting in the traditional San way. These traditional skills are passed down from generation to generation and the San people take it in turns to come into the area from as far as the Tsumkwe region where they spend up to 3 weeks sharing their skills with visitors to Namibia. This is an excellent way for the San to preserve their knowledge and to earn a living through tourism. From there you will head through to the N/a’ankuse Activitiy Centre where you can enjoy lunch in the lounge and the chance to relax for a bit by the pool (yes you can swim) before heading out on the afternoon carnivore feeding tour.

The afternoon feeding tour allows you to watch as these animals, lion, leopard, cheetah and wild dog are being fed by the experienced guides and the chance to get some spectular photos. It is followed by a scenic drive that provides a good chance of spotting some of the other wildlife on the reserve. This is not just a great way to learn about these amazing animals and how they behave in the wild, it is also a great up close photo opportunity.
