Cycling Tour: Romantic Road

Day 1: Würzburg – Wertheim - approx. 43 km cycling
In the morning you pick-up your rental bikes in city centre of Würzburg! Luggage transfer from Würzburg to Wertheim (meeting location and
time to be confirmed). Cycling to Wertheim at the confluence of the river Main and Tauber.
Overnight stay including breakfast in the historic old town.
Day 2: Wertheim – Weikersheim (b) - approx. 62km cycling
After breakfast we ask you - also on the following days of the tour - to leave your luggage at the reception desk until 10:00 am - it will be picked up during the day and brought to the next destination. Departure via “Liebliches Taubertal” bicycle path, passing by small, historical villages like Tauberbischofsheim, Lauda and Bad Mergentheim and beautiful landscapes before you arrive at Weikersheim.

Day 3: Weikersheim – Schillingsfürst (b) - approx. 55 km cycling
In the morning you are leaving for Schillingsfürst, with its landmark, the Baroque Castle of the Princes of Hohenlohe-Schillingsfürst. On your way you pass small wine villages like Röttingen and Germany`s most romantic town, Rothenburg ob der Tauber. Here you can visit the German Christmas Museum or walk around the town on the town wall.

Day 4: Schillingsfürst - Dinkelsbühl (b) - approx. 49 km cycling
After breakfast you start for your next cycling day. From Schillingsfürst to Dinkelsbühl the cycling path leads through forests passing many small ponds around Feuchtwangen. After arriving in Dinkelsbühl, check in at your hotel. In the evening you are invited to join a city walk with the nightwatchman (free of charge, meeting point at the cathedral / church st. Georg).

DAY 5: Dinkelsbühl – Nördlingen (b) - approx. 38 km cycling
This will be the last cycling day on your cycling tour. From Dinkelsbühl to Nördlingen you will follow the Wörnitz river for a short while before continuing to Nördlingen, the only town in Germany, where you can walk the walls and battlements all the way round. The historical town is dominated by the 100 yard high bell tower of St. George church. In the early afternoon (meeting location and time to be confirmed), you return
your rental bikes to our bus driver in Nördlingen who will take the bikes back to Würzburg. End of services in Nördlingen!
