About this activity

This private tour starts in the morning, your local guide will reach your hotel or the train station in Xi’an, heading towards Mount Hua to begin our martial cultivation. After about 2 hours, we will arrive at Mount Hua. We will begin our climb of Mount Hua from the “Ancient Mount Hua Path”, a path with thousands of years of history of ascending the mountain.

After a gentle uphill stone road, we will begin our test of climbing Mount Hua, successively passing Huixin Rock, the thousand-foot pillar, the hundred-foot gorge, the Laozi Furrow, and other dangerous sections. But rest assured that with concentration, the mountain can be passed using just our hands and feet. Behind us is first peak ascended—the North peak (Yuntai Peak). Here we are more than halfway through our journey. On top of the North peak is the famous “Mount Hua Sword” stone carving. As a martial warrior, it is imperative to visit. Here one can see the top of Mount Shan and Baiyun Peak in the distance.

Leaving the North peak, we continue onwards towards the main peak, passing the “Ear Rubbing Cliff” and heaven’s ladder. After which, we will walk along Canglong Ridge (Dark Dragon Ridge), the most dangerous section of Mount Hua, following the stone steps on the cliff, both sides leading to the abyss. When the wind bursts, it is important to take care of your personal items. At the end is the location of the Han retreat, a vivid embodiment of the steepness of Mount Hua. By the time we reach Flying Fish Ridge Road, it will be good to just walk for a while.

After the Five Cloud Summit, we can see the first of the “Guanzhong Eight Scenes”: The Immortal Palm, a huge cliff. Legend has it that the Great Spirit God split Mount Hua and left the palm print. This is not far from the top of Mount Hua. From the Golden Locks we can begin our clockwise journey around Jade Maiden Summit, Zhaoyang Summit, and the Lotus Flower Summit. Finally descend down the mountain from the world’s first cableway—Taihang cableway, completely conquering Mount Hua and becoming a martial warrior. Return to Xi’an.
