Itinerary

Day 1: Airport Pickup and Tour in Xi'an City Wall

Pass By: Xi'an Xianyang International Airport, Weicheng, Xianyang, Shaanxi, China
Upon your arrival in Xi’an Airport, you will find your tour guide is waiting for you outside the baggage claim area. After a short greeting, you will be transferred to the hotel with the company of your private guide and driver.

Stop At: Xi'an City Wall (Chengqiang), Zhongxin District, Xi'an 710001 China
The fun starts with the City Wall. You will have a panoramic view of the old city area when you are standing on the wall. Meanwhile, you may see the local people doing recreational activities at its foot. If you want to enjoy riding on the wall, you can rent a bike but the rental fee is at your own expense. Afterwards, you will be escorted back to the hotel.

Day 2: Terracotta Army Tour

Stop At: Terracotta Warriors Museum, Salisbury Street, Dorchester DT1 1JU England
Your first stop in today’s tour is the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum, which was built for the First Emperor of the Qin Dynasty over 2200 years ago. It enjoys high popularity at home and abroad also known as “the eighth wonder of the world”.

Stop At: Xi'an Mosque, Huajue Alley, Xincheng District, Xi'an 710043 China
The Great Mosque is one of the best-preserved Islamic mosques in China. Built in 742 during the Tang Dynasty (618-907), it is a result of the communication and integration of different ethnic cultures.You will not only see the Chinese classical architectural style but also the traditional Muslim character in the Great Mosque.

Stop At: Big Wild Goose Pagoda (Dayanta), Enci Temple The southern part of Yata Road, Yanta District, Xi'an 710061 China
Then, come to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda which has been included in the World Heritage List in 2014. It used to be a place for the great Tang Dynasty monk - Xuanzang to translate Sanskrit in sutras into Chinese. So it is also regarded as one of the holy places for Buddhists. You can appreciate the unique architectural style of this pagoda as well as get some information about its legend from your tour guide.

Day 3: Xi'an Highlights Tour and Travel to Lanzhou by Train

Stop At: Shaanxi History Museum, 91 Xiaozhai E Rd, Qu Jiang Shang Quan, Yanta Qu, Xian Shi, Shaanxi Sheng, China
This morning, you will be escorted to the Shaanxi Province History Museum. Here you can see a lot of cultural relics and those collections will show you the development of ancient China in different eras.

At noon, you will have a chance to enjoy the tasty authentic Chinese food at a local family. What's more, if you are interested in the Chinese food you can join in the cook of the meal.

Pass By: Xi'an North Railway Station Ticket Office 4, Weiyang, Xi'an, Shaanxi, China
After that, you will take a high-speed train from Xi'an to Lanzhou - used to be an very important city along the ancient Silk Road. Upon your arrival, your local guide will be waiting for you at Lanzhou Railway Station and transfer you to the hotel.

Day 4: Lanzhou to Xiahe, Sangke Grassland

Stop At: Sangke Grassland, 1 Km Southwest of the County, Xiahe County 747100 China
This morning, you local guide and driver will meet you at your hotel in Lanzhou. Then you will leave for Sangke Grassland together. Here, you will see the vast prairie where Tibetan nomadic people have lived for generations. Encircled by mountains and cut through by a river in the middle, this grassland looks like a thick green carpet with a white pure Hada on. Then you will taste the mysterious and simple Tibetan flavor and learn the local folk custom by visiting a Tibetan family.

After that, your this-day tour will come to an end and you will be escorted to the hotel in Xiahe.

Day 5: Tour in Labrang Monastery

Stop At: Labrang Monastery (Labuleng Si), Lapuleng Town, Xiahe County 747100 China
This morning, you will be escorted back to Lanzhou. On the way, you will stop at the Labrang Monastery. The monastery is also an essential place for Buddhism activities and ceremonies, which reserves the best teaching system of Tibetan Buddhism. You will also have the chance to watch the morning pray in the monastery. After that, you will be escorted to the hotel in Lanzhou.

Note for visiting Labrang Monastery:
Do take off hats when you enter the main halls.
Don't touch or point at the Buddhist statues.
Don't take pictures in the main halls and Gongtang Pagoda.

Day 6: Bingling Thousand Buddha Caves

Stop At: Bingling Temple Grottoes, West of Yongjing County, Yongjing County 730030 China
Bingling Thousand Buddha Caves were engraved in the west cliff along the Yellow River. You will visit it by boat. The artistic value of this temple is only second to that of Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes. By now, the Bingling Thousand Buddha Caves preserves 196 caves, 694 stone statues, 82 clay sculptures and a large area of murals, which make it a site of great artistic value.

Afterwards, you will be escorted to you hotel.

Day 7: Lanzhou Exit

Stop At: Waterwheel Expo Garden, No.524, Nan Binhe Dong Lu, Chengguan District, Lanzhou China
The last stop of your 7-day tour is the Waterwheel Garden. a theme garden to display the waterwheel culture and farming civilization of ancient China. The wheel is the oldest irrigation tool along the ancient Yellow River in Lanzhou.
