Rejuvenating Xi'an Tour: Terracotta Army Museum and Banpo Village Including Foot Massage

Meet your guide at the lobby of your hotel in Xian city centre and be driven to the famous Terracotta Army Museum. This is one of the most significant archeological excavations of the 20th century, discovered by local farmers in 1974.
Life size terracotta figures of warriors and horses arranged in battle formations are the star features at the museum. They are replicas of what Qin Shi Huang’s imperial army would look like at that time, 210-209 BC. The army was built in order to protect the emperor in the afterlife. Today, there are still miles of land with unexcavated treasures.
After your visit to the Terracotta Warriors, we will go to a Xian Arts and Crafts Factory where you’ll see how the terracotta army statues were made and also have the opportunity to buy smaller versions for your family, friends, or yourself. Then you will enjoy a traditional Chinese cuisine lunch at a local restaurant.
Next you will visit the Banpo Neolithic village, a New Stone Age site dating from approximately 5,000 to 4,000 B.C. It is one of the most complete examples of a Neolithic agricultural settlement in the world.
Finally, before dropping back at your hotel, your guide will drive you to enjoy a 45 minutes’ foot massage. This will revive your feet so that you are ready to continue exploring the next day, regardless of how much walking you want to do.
