Small Group Xian Day Tour: Terra-Cotta Warriors and Horses-Xian Museum-Small Wild Goose Pagoda

Itinerary:
In the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel and directly taken to the meeting point. (Our guide will contact you in advance to confirm the pickup time.)
Your tour starts at 9:00am. And follow your guide to visit the Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses first which will be the less crowded period at the site. Buried for over 2,000 years until local farmers stumbled upon fragments of a clay figure in 1974 when digging a well, this site was then uncovered and is reputed as the largest underground military base in the world. The scale of almost 8,000 terracotta figures standing in battle formation is awe-inspiring. Stories about the warriors and the first emperor who owns them will be gradually unveiled along your walk through the 3 different pits where the soldiers were buried.
Hop aboard to your van and drive back to the city to continue to visit the Xian Museum, housing 130,000 pieces of archeological items in its collection, most of which were unearthed in large imperial tombs around Xian and will give you a deeper insight into the rich culture and history of the city.
You also get the chance to visit the Small Wild Goose Pagoda, one of the Xian's two most significant Buddhist pagodas. Setting in a lovely garden inside the museum, it is a nice place for photographs and to enjoy some peace and tranquility.
This enjoyable day trip concludes at a short and comfortable drive to your hotel.
