The Terracotta Warriors and Horses are one of the most significant archaeological excavations of the 20th century when they were discovered by local farmers in 1974. The army was built as a form of funerary art and was buried with Qin Shi Huang, the first Emperor of China, in the third century as a mean to protect the emperor in his afterlife.

Ancient city wall, one of the oldest and best preserved in all of China. You can marvel at the 9-mile (14-kilometer) long wall or rent a bicycle and bike from one watchtower to the next. First built in the 2nd century BC, this wall is the most complete city wall that has survived throughout all of China, and is one of the largest ancient military defense systems in the world.

Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Built in AD 652 during the Tang Dynasty as a holy place for Buddhists, the pagoda remains an iconic symbol of old Xi’an and houses Buddhist relics and figurines brought from India.
