About this activity
Day 1: Arrival Yangon & Yangon Sightseeing
On arrival to Yangon International Airport, you will be welcomed by a tour guide. Visit to Chaukhtatgyi Pagoda, a 65m long reclining Buddha Image and 2500-years old Shwedagon Pagoda, the landmark of Yangon. Walk around city center of Yangon where Sule Pagoda, Mahabandoola Park, Independence Monument and the City Hall are located. Shopping at Bogyoke Aung San Market is the famous bazaar with hundreds of shops selling souvenirs, handicrafts, clothes and jewellery. If time permits, you will also visit Botahtaung Pagoda, where Buddha's tooth relic is enshrined, and Nanthida Jetty, to watch the busy lives across the Yangon River and beautiful sunset. Enjoy night life at Chinatown. Overnight in Yangon.
Day 2: Yangon – Bagan by flight & Bagan Sightseeing (B)
After breakfast, transfer to airport for flight Bagan (approx. flying time 1:20hr). On arrival to Nyaung-U (Bagan) airport, visit colorful Nyaung-U market. Visit famous pagodas such as Shwezigon Pagoda built by King Anawrahta, Gu Byauk Gyi was built in year 1113 by Kyanzittha's son Rajakumar, Buu Pagoda built on the bank of Ayeyarwaddy River, Ananda Temple with its four standing Buddha images, and Manuha Buddha image, with a large Buddha image inside a small temple. In the evening, enjoy the amazing sunset view of ancient Bagan over a view point. Overnight in Bagan.
Day 3: Bagan – Mandalay by Express Coach & Mandalay Sightseeing (B)
After breakfast, transfer to bus station for departure to Mandalay by an express coach (approx. driving time 3:30min). On arrival to Mandalay bus station, you will be welcomed by a tour guide. Proceed to Mandalay Palace, the last royal palace of the last Burmese monarchy constructed between 1857 and 1859 by King Mindon. Visit Kuthodaw Pagoda, known as the World’s largest book with 729 inscriptions on marble stabs, which is listed on UNESCO's the Memory of the World Register. Visit Shwenandaw Monastery, an historic Buddhist monastery. Continue to the Mandalay Hill to see beautiful sunset. Overnight in Mandalay.
Day 4: Amarapura Sightseeing & Mandalay – Yangon by flight (B)
After breakfast, visit to the Maha Myat Muni, one of the Buddha images in Myanmar. Visit Amarapura to visit Mahagandayon Monastery where over 1000 monks are studying and 1.2 km long U Bein Teak Bridge, known to be the oldest and longest teakwood bridge in the world. Then transfer to Mandalay airport for flight to Yangon (approx. flying time 1:15hr). On arrival to Yangon, transfer to hotel. Overnight in Yangon.
Day 5: Departure (B)
After breakfast, your free time before transfer to Yangon International Airport.
