Itinerary

Day 1: Yangon arrival

Stop At: Yangon Yangon, 339 Bogyoke Aung San Road Sakura Tower Rooftop, Yangon (Rangoon) Myanmar
Arrive Yangon by flight.

Upon arrival, you will meet with your local guide and transfer to hotel.

Rest of the day at your leisure.

Dinner free (by your own account).

Overnight in Yangon.

Day 2: YANGON–GOLDEN ROCK

Stop At: Kyaiktiyo Pagoda, Myanmar (Burma)
Your guide will pick you up at your hotel.

Drive to Kyaikhtiyo (4 hr30 approximately).

On the way, visit the local market of Bago.

Lunch at a local restaurant.

Arrival to Kimpun base camp and continue by truck unloaded (about 45 mn), only possibility of access to the site.

Climbon foot to reach the Golden Rock in an improbable equilibrium at the edge of a cliff, which culminates at 1100 meters of altitude (45 to 60 minutes of walk - alternative with sedan chair). The Golden Rock is one of the three most sacred sites in Burma.

Discovery of the pavilions where burning the incense brought by pilgrims from all over Burma, on this high place of devotion that unites the Burmese and many minorities converted to Buddhism.

Free visit to the sanctuaries where there is a great fervor that combines the Buddhist cult, the spirits, the local superstitions and ancestral traditional medicines.

Day 3: GOLDEN ROCK- HPA AN (132 km/ 2h30min)

Stop At: Hpa An Lodge, By the Foot range of Mt. Zwe Kabin Near Dat-da-lun Monastery Lone-Ma Taung State, Hpa-An, Myanmar (Burma)
Breakfast at hotel.

Road to HpaAn, capital of the Karens. Stop at KyautKalat, sharp rock with an original pagoda in the middle of a lake.

Lunch at a local restaurant.

Then proceed to Pa Dauk Jetty to explore the beautiful scenery by Hte-La-Y Boat ,departs at 2:30 pm. During the trip,the lively Karen traditional group dances (Kayin Done Yein Dance) will live preform for your great pleasure.

You will visit Taungsoon village which is situated near the plantations and the village road is earth road and it is very natural and beautiful. All the plantations are seasonal vegetable plantations. To reach the village you have to pass through those plantations and then when you arrive to the village you will meet friendly Karen villagers.

At the entrance, beside the road there is a primary school and you can visit the school to see the village children’s school life and their learning style. You can also visit the villagers’ houses and observe their life style.

Then we will come back to the Hta Min Sote Mountain which is an island and it is situated in the Lower Thanlwin River. Then we will stop at the sandy shore near Hta Min Sote Mountain where you can climb up the mountain by stairs. From the top of the mountain you can enjoy the natural view of Hpa-An andsunset.

After enjoying such beautiful scenery, last but not the least is going to Natural Bat Cave which is situated in the Phar Kup Mountain. This is a very famous place where the tourists can enjoy the sunset. 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm is the most beautiful time of the Natural Bat Cave because flocks of bats flies out of the cave look like a galaxy.

Seeing such view will be a remarkable moment in your trip and we will be arrived back to Padauk Jetty at 6:30 pm.

Day 4: HPA AN – MAWLAMYINE BY (59km/ 1hr)

Stop At: Mawlamyine University, Mawlamyine, Myanmar (Burma)
Breakfast at hotel.

Then transfer by car to Mawlmyine. Upon arrival, visit Mahamuni Pagoda and SeindonMibayaKyaung. Then drive to Thanbyuzayat, is situated 64 km south of Mawlamyine. There has the western terminus of Burma-Siam Railway, known as “Death Railway”. The west of the clock tower, on the south side of the road, lays the Allied War Cemetery.

Lunch at a local restaurant.

Then continue to Mudon’s hand weaving workshops. After that, come back to Mawlamyine.

Day 5: MAWLAMYINE –BAGO –YANGON

Stop At: Yangon Zoo, SW side of the lakes Lake Side, Yangon (Rangoon) Myanmar
Breakfast at hotel.

Visit the local market of Mawlamyine, then transfer by car to Yangon. After 6hr drive, stop at Bago ancient capital of the Mon kingdom.

Lunch at a local restaurant to enjoy the local cuisine of Bago.

Visit the imposing Shwemawdaw Pagoda with its golden stupa, the reclining Buddha of Shwethalyaung and Kyaik Pun Pagoda, the four immense Buddhas sitting and backing. Arrival in Yangon.
