About this activity
We are faithful to the true sailing spirit, planning exact stopovers together with the wind and weather! The itinerary is indicative of places we will visit during the week.
Day 1: SUKOSAN MARINA, near ZADAR
The starting point lies 11km from Zadar international airport. It is a sleepy little town and that is exactly what we are looking for! In the evening, we meet together for a welcome drink and then dine together at a local restaurant to get to know each other
Day 2: ZMINJAK
Zminjak is a remote island with a single restaurant offering a long pier for yachties. We shall practice our mooring skills at the pier and our tasting skills at the restaurant. Mooring stern-to, side-to, bows-to, with lazy lines and anchor, we practice it all.
Day 3: KONOBA BAIN
We make use of the many buoys laid in front of Konoba Bain to practice buoy mooring both on motor and on sails. As a treat after the day a great sunset view and a dinner awaits
Day 4: KORNATI
With its hundreds of islands of all sizes, Kornati is a perfect place to practice day navigation and taking command of the yacht. It`s time to practice delegation, clear communication, taking responsibility and quick decision making. Come on, skipper it a bit!
Day 5: NIGHT SAILING
At least one of the nights we sail far to experience how it is to be underway during the hours of darkness. You will be instructed, divided into shifts and the whole crew`s safety will depend on you. Included: watch keeping, log writing, night navigation, stars counting…. and a hot beverage
DAY 6: TELASCICA NATIONAL PARK
Surrounded by pine trees, we enter the magical Telašćica park. There is plenty of buoys to moor to and some beautiful cliffs to explore. There is one or two remotely located restaurants where we can enjoy a delightful meal.
Day 7: UNESCO HERITAGE TOWN
To improve our sightseeing experience we shall moor at one of the historic Croatian cities. We are not sure which one, but definitely with stone paved streets! Zadar, Sibenik, Trogir, Split, Hvar… let`s see where the wind takes us!
DAY 8: SUKOSAN
After a farewell dinner, we make our goodbyes to new friends made. Where shall we go next time?

  • Inclusions
  • A comfy bed on a fully equipped 12-16m sailing yacht, tender, end cleaning, tourist taxes, bed linen, towels, etc… If you join solo you share a same-sex cabin.
  • Pro Skipper who is in charge of sailing. S/he is a part of your crew, facilitates the trip and shows you the best secret spots. Skippers are fun, sailed the 7 seas and are socially capable professionals.
  • Our course is built on the basis of the Royal Yachting Association Day Skipper course with extensions which we consider important. We explain the theory and give you a chance to practice the manoeuvres which cause most problems to fresh sailors and young skippers. We are happy to share our knowledge and best practices which we learnt ourselves. Prepare for a lot of drilling and hands-on practice time.
  • Travel insurance is always included. It covers:
  • MEDICAL EXPENSES AND COSTS OF IMMEDIATE ASSISTANCE: 20.000
  • PERSONAL ACCIDENT: 2.000

  • This is a very social experience and you should expect to be part of a team and play your role (sailing, taking care of the boat, cooking (if you can ;)) and shopping.
  • Additionally we will encourage plastic free trip, conscious purchases and sustainable travelling mode, so be ready to take that into account and accept little adjustments to your habits (i.e. using bio-degradable shower gel or not using single use plastics on board). We want to take care of our planet in the end, don`t we?
  • The boats which we are using for our trips are 0-5 years old, have 3-4 double cabins, 2-3 showers, fridge, stove, stereo, outside shower to wash off the salt water, saloon and socializing area outside. Additionally there is a tender and outboard engine to go ashore if not in the marina. Each cabin has lockers reading lights, and little port-holes (windows).
  • Minimum age is 21 years, however we suggest the participants who are under 25 to read very carefully the trip description and decide if they want to join only after careful considerations of all the points.
