Christmas tale in Zagreb

DAY1.- ZAGREB

Welcome to Zagreb! We’ll pick you up from Zagreb Airport and transfer you to your hotel in Zagreb center. Free time for Christmas market and other activities.

Optional (depends on time of Your arrival): Cazma Christmas tale tour 

Enjoy festivities with a visit to the village of Cazma, where the annual ‘Christmas Fairytale’ delights visitors with country-style holiday traditions, food stalls, and elaborate decorations featuring more than 2 million colorful lights. Cazma, known for its annual family 'Christmas Fairytale' celebration. Discover a winter wonderland adorned with festive decorations and light. Great way to celebrate the holiday season.

DAY 2. ZAGREB GUIDED WALK & DRIVE TOUR (duration: 3 hours approximately)

Meeting with guide in front of Your hotel following walking tour covering the main sights and vibrant part of everyday life in Zagreb. On the welcoming walk you will visit the oldest parts of town, hear genuine Zagreb stories and legends, and enjoy a walk-through Christmas market sights in good company with our guides. On your way, you’ll see the remarkable Medieval Church of St Mark on the Parliament Square, the Zagreb Cathedral, the popular Ban Jelačić Square, the Croatian National Theatre and more.

After walking tour You will go with our van to Zagreb mountain Medvednica to enjoy amazing views to Zagreb and after short drive to Zagreb cemetery. (Laid out in 1876 by acclaimed German architect Hermann Bollé)

Free time for Christmas events, concerts, gluhwein, sausages and other domestic food specialties around the market.

DAY 3 – ZAGREB– TRAKOŠĆAN CASTLE – BAROQUE VARAŽDIN – ZAGREB ( duration: 8 hours approximately)

After breakfast, full day excursion to two beautiful sights – Trakošćan castle and Varaždin city.

Transfer from your hotel and drive towards the northern region of Hrvatsko zagorje.

Hrvatsko zagorje is known for its well-preserved castles and spas.

Discover the city of Varazdin, a true baroque gem considered to be one of the most desirable cities to live in Croatia. Explore the city on a walking tour accompanied by a licensed local guide. Embrace the beauty of the streets rich with numerous palaces, villas and one of the oldest city halls in Europe. Lunch in one of the homesteads, where you’ll have a chance to taste the best local dishes.

Conclude your day visiting romantic Trakoscan Castle the best-preserved Croatian castle from the 13th century where you can enjoy the surrounding nature and a picturesque lake. Free time to explore the castle and its surroundings.

Transfer to Zagreb and overnight in hotel.

Transfer to airport.
