Slovenia's capital and largest city also happens to be one of Europe's greenest and most livable capitals. With its laid-back atmosphere and many of cultural events, Ljubljana attracts tourists all through the year. Car traffic is restricted in city center which allows you to relax and just follow our guide. Afterwards, you can choose how to spent the rest of your free time - we will always recommend visiting Ljubljanski town fortress or trying some of the local specialties.

Protected by cliff-hanging Bled castle, this emerald green glacial lake is famous not only for its natural beauty, but as a popular sport center and health resort. Accordingly, there are plenty of outdoor activities which will make your stay even more memorable! Take a traditional Pletna boat to the Bled island and St. Mary church or explore Bled castle and enjoy spectacular views. If you're a sporty type, take a hike, walk or cycle around the lake and in hot summer months you can even swim and refresh yourself in cool water. Picked up at our hotel on time by our driver Darko Paricic. Darko was very professional, pleasant and spoke very good English and provided us with some history of the areas we travelled through. He made our tour special. Very nice gentleman. There were also two additional couples on this tour. Fabulous tour and highly recommended. The only downside to this tour was the border crossing into Slovenia from Croatia. Not sure what the problem was but we lost about 2 hours at the border which affected the time we could spend on our tour of Ljubljana which is a beautiful city. Our tour of Lake Bled was wonderful and the surroundings very serene and peaceful. Would highly recommend this tour!

The very best way to get direct access to Ljubljana and Lake Bled in one day. Peter picked us up in a van in Zagreb, took care of parking and letting us off close to sites and informing us about the area, Our local guide in Ljubljana was fabulous because she lived through much of the history and was extremely knowledgeable. We could not have done this as efficiently and comprehensively on our own. Also, our group of 8 was compatible and enjoyable. It was the best!
