Monumental St Peter’s Cathedral in Đakovo remains a sort of “beacon of faith” on the skyline of the City of Đakovo and the whole of Slavonia. The most important cultural monument in Đakovo and the most beautiful cathedral between Venice and Istanbul, as Pope XXIII described it, is located at Strossmayer Square. he cathedral was built in a successful blending of Romanesque and Gothic styles to the design made by Viennese architects Carl Roesner and Friedrich Schmidt.

The State Stud Farm in Đakovo was established in 1506, which makes it the one of the oldest stud farms in Europe and proves the long lasting tradition of horse breeding in this area. Lipizzan horses have been bred at the State Stud Farm since the beginning of the 19th century. Lipizzan horses from Đakovo have promoted the town and the Đakovština area throughout the world by participating in numerous competitions worldwide. Queen Elisabeth II was so thrilled by the performance of Lippizan horses from Đakovo at the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in 1972 that she visited the Stud Farm and rode through Đakovo on the famous four-in-hand carriage.

Area of Feričanci municipality is located in western part of Osijek- Baranja county on geotraffic location characterized by important road direction. Economic structure of village depended on geographic location. Agriculture has always been important part of economy. Development of agricultural economy has been marked by vinegrowing. Trend of vinegrowing is important in Feričanci even today. Vinegrowing dates back to the 13th century. Relation to viticulture, vinegrowing, grape processing and winemaking is at professional level today. Wine tasting and wine knowledge is becoming important part of lifestyle in Croatia. Thus in the last ten years wine tourism has become more popular form of tourism of special interest. Many wine regions and winemakers are promoting their wines to guests visiting their wineries and so does Feravino in Feričanci.
