Itinerary

Day 1: Meeting/pick up from the airport/train station

Pass By: Wulingyuan Scenic and Historic Interest Area of Zhangjiajie, Within the District, Wulingyuan District, Zhangjiajie 427400 China
Pick up in the afternoon/evening, transfer to your hotel. (if you arrive in Zhangjiajie in the morning before 10:00am, then will begin the tour right after been pick up from the airport/train station)

Day 2: Zhangjiajie national park

Stop At: Tianzi Mountain, Wulingyuan District, Zhangjiajie 427400 China
Breakfast in the hotel, today you will head for one of the most famous attractions in the park and the one that attracts the most tourists – The Son of Heaven Mountain (Tianzishan). You will ascend the mountain by cable-car and at the top you will be able to enjoy views of Warrior Taming Horse Rock and the Western Sea which are two of the most stunning mountain formations in the whole park and are really a pleasure to see.

Stop At: Yuanjiajie, Wulingyuan, Zhangjiajie, Hunan, China
After visiting Tianzi Mountain you will continue on to a spot that is far less visited and can be a little difficult to find because the well surfaced paths soon disappear and the trail leads through heavy fores. Transfer to Laowuchang, which is a remote place, you need to hike down to a platform from where you can get really close to those pillars as if you can touch them, what’s more, you can see a unique view of the rice field on the top of the pillar, then hike all the way back. Then after these spot, we can visit Yuanjiajie (the shooting place of the movie Avatar) and then take elevator down.

Day 3: Cave and Grand canyon glass bridge

Stop At: Yellow Dragon Cave, Zhangqing Main Road, Wulingyuan District, Zhangjiajie 427400 China
Morning, transfer to Yellow dragon cave. It is the longest one in Asia; it is an incomparable realm of gigantic subterranean chambers, fantastic cave formations, and extraordinary features. Today many of the wonders of Yellow dragon cave are well known, yet the experience of exploring its chambers is every bit as exciting. Now the routes are well paved and well lighted. Sturdy walking shoes, flashlights, and water are required when you explore the cave.

Stop At: The Grand Canyon of Zhangjiajie, Sanguansi, Zhangjiajie 427000 China
Zhangjiajie grand canyon is new discovery outside Zhangjiajie National Park, Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon situated in Sanguansi, cili county Zhangjiajie city, 10 km east to Wulingyuan world natural heritage site, which is a new discovery of scenic site. Nowadays, it is very famous and popular because of the longest glass bridge, which is 430m long and over 300m above the ground, walk on the bridge is indeed a challenge of your courage. If you have enough energy and time allows, you can hike all the way down to the canyon, enjoy some waterfalls and peaceful hiking along the stream, which takes around 2-3 hours.

Day 4: National park visit

Stop At: Golden Whip Brook, In Wulingyuan District, Wulingyuan District, Zhangjiajie 427400 China
your day will begin with a stroll along the Golden Whip Stream, giving you another angle from which you can view the amazing pillar-like peaks. From here they appear to shoot up into the sky like giant natural skyscrapers. Adored by the Chinese, the peaks have been given a number of different poetic names, including the tallest which stands at 400 metres and is known as the Magical Eagle Protecting the Whip. The water in the stream is clear, the air pure and the site very well maintained. It is a real treat for those who have been stuck in China’s megacities for the first leg of their tour. You may even stumble upon groups of monkeys which some (misadvised or well-intentioned) tourists like to feed, but we urge you to not follow their counterproductive example and leave the animals well alone!

Stop At: Huangshizhai, Wulingyuan, Zhangjiajie, Hunan, China
You will continue your day by visiting the Yellow Stone Stronghold (which reaches 1048 metres in height), from which you will be able to discover the first treasure of Zhangjiajie and one of the most famous in the region - The Five Fingers Peak, similar mountain scenery as the first day in the national park but much quite.

Day 5: Baofeng lake and Tianmen mountain

Stop At: Baofeng Lake, Suoxi Town, Wulingyuan District Wulingyuan Scenic Area, Zhangjiajie 427400 China
Check out in the morning, transfer to Baofeng lake, enjoy a boat ridding on the lake, you'll appreciate the beautiful mountain songs during the cruise riding.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park, Tianmen Mountain Ticket Station, Yongding District, Zhangjiajie 427000 China
Then transfer to Tianmen Mountain, take half an hour riding on the longest cable-car in the world (about 7.5 km) directly reach the top of Tianmen mountain. Have a breathless walking along the glass plank-road against the cliff. Tianmen cave, the natural mountain-penetrating karst cave with the highest elevation in the world, hangs on the towering cliff. There are many graceful trees, karts hillocks and medicinal herbs and plants on the mountain. Transfer to the airport, finish the pleasant trip in Zhangjiajie! End of service!
