Stop At: Mengdong River Scenic Resort, In Yongshun County near Zhangjiajie, Yongshun County 423400 China

Rise early and your guide and driver will pick you up from the lobby of your centrally located Zhangjiajie hotel and then transfer you to Mengdong River for exciting whitewater rafting. The rafting trip itself will last approximately 3 hours. There is also a free optional activity of a visit to Furong Town. After rafting and the trip to Furong Town, you will be driven back to your Zhangjaijie hotel where this day trip concludes.

Brief Introduction of Mengdong River Rafting:

Mengdong River scenic spot is widely known as an ideal place for rafting. Here, visitors can raft on it in rubber rafts. Because of the fantastic scenery and unforgettable experience, rafting on Mengdong River has gains the reputation of "number one rafting spot in the world."

Although Furong Town seems to be an ordinary village, it is originally a Tuwang’s capital in Qin and Han Dynasties called Youyang. However, during the period of Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms of Chinese history, it called Xizhou. It enjoys little attention until the movie "Furong Town" was filmed here. Furong Town not only has a long history of a millennial town, but also is a tourism resort which integrally combines natural scenery and ancient ethnic cultures. It is one of the best attractions to seek peace and visit classicism as well as the portal of Mengdong River. The town is surrounded by lush green mountains and rivers. You will see winding path and Tujia Diaojiao floor by the river after coming into the township. Everywhere reflects the honesty and ancient folk customs of the Tujia.
