Lucerne day trip from Zurich

There will be a picture stop at the Lion Monument, a giant sculpture of a dying lion carved into a sandstone wall commemorating the Swiss Guards who lost their lives in the French Revolution. On the short orientation drive through the city center, your guide points out the main sights such as the famous Chapel Bridge, the picturesque Jesuit Church, the Town-Hall and the impressive Concert and Congress Hall designed by French architect Jean Nouvel.
Enjoy six hours of leisure time in the afternoon to discover the unique city of Lucerne on your own. Visit the Swiss Museum of Transport, the most eminent museum for transport in Europe and its Swiss Chocolate Adventure. If you are an art lover, you should not miss paying a visit to the Rosengart Museum with works of the famous artists Picasso and Paul Klee. Alternatively, you can enjoy a relaxing boat ride on beautiful Lake Lucerne or an extended stroll with nice souvenir shopping in the medieval streets of the lovely city. In the evening, you meet your guide again for the coach ride back to Zurich.
