Acatenango Overnight

This excursion is the one that started it all! O.X. spends more time on this mountain than all other companies combined. Volcan Acatenango, the sleeping giant that looms over the Antiguan valley is, in the opinion of O.X., the most beautiful and diverse volcano in all of Guatemala. Acatenango is the third highest volcano in all of Central America and it guarantees a challenge and adventure. Sleeping overnight gives you the amazing opportunity to experience a sunset and sunrise from almost 4,000 meters (13,00 ft!). The air is crisp and cool and the beauty mesmerizing. From this vantage point, you hang out above the clouds, on top of the world, and looking out onto neighboring volcanoes, Volcan Agua gentle and serene and Volcan Fuego the ever angry, lava spilling mountain which seems so close you can touch it.
