This is where Kempe Gowda developed a flavour for beans and decided to name a whole city after them: Bengaluru, which comes from Bendekaal Ooru, meaning town of baked beans! It started with just the magical fertility of Bangalore which allowed just about anything to grow: from coconuts to strawberries! And then came the scientific revolution that brought people from around the country with their home recipes, to introduce their special food onto the Bangalore landscape. Just about every cuisine is available in Bangalore. It;s only for you to find out where! And what better chance could you have, than to get yourself a local foodie to take you around?
