About this activity
'Tippoo Saib' as the Brits called him, was an 18th century warrior king whose kingdom was known far and wide for its brave people and immense wealth. Tipu and his father Nawab Haidar Ali were considered the main thorns in the complete political and military dominance of the British East India Company over India.

Meet your guide at your selected departure time at the ticket counter of Tipu Sultan's summer palace. From here he will take you on a visit to a few existing monuments of the Bangalore fort which are standing today. Along the way learn about the history of the Mysore kingdom in the 17th century as well as the influence of the two European nations France & Britain in India. Learn how the war in Europe split onto the Indian shores and how the local kings got caught in between the war of the two European nations.

The guide will give you a detailed description of the fort as well as the art & architecture of the palace. The guide will narrate tales of bravery & treachery that led into the capture of the Bangalore fort & the Mysore Kingdom. Also learn about how the objects of this king went onto to influence warfare across the globe. In between the history byte's you can also sample some bites of the South Indian vegetarian snacks.

This walk is conducted by native Bangaloreans with years of extensive research, travel and publications on this subject, some of which is exclusive.
