In the early morning (between 03:30 am and 04:00 am), we will pick you up at your hotel and transfer you directly (only stopping for breakfast) to the Mirador Cruz del Condor, which is the most popular viewing point for looking into the depths of the Colca Canyon. At this particular point, the canyon is around 1200m deep, and you will almost always see a few condors flying with breathtaking canyon scenery in the background. Here you will start your 2 - 2.5 hours hike towards Uyo Uyo, an important spot in our pre-Incan history. In this architectonical complex, you will learn about different ancient cultures like the Collaguas and Cabanas. During the trek, you will enjoy amazing views like the Ampato and Hualca Hualca snow-capped mountains. Arriving in the citadel, the quarry stone houses will make you imagine how it was to live 500 years ago. After exploring this ancient relic we will head back to Arequipa. Stopping by the villages of Pinchollo, Maca, and Yanque, where you will be able to see beautiful colonial churches, as well as the viewpoints of Antahuilqueand Choquetico, from where we will be able to observe pre-Incan constructions and graves and the impressing landscape. After lunch (included), we will make our way back to Arequipa, stopping at several viewpoints in the Pampa Cañahuas national reserve, to observe Vicuñas, Llamas, and Alpacas. In the later afternoon, we will arrive in the city, where we will transfer you to your hotel.
