Full day Taj Mahal tour from Delhi by car
On this one day Taj Mahal tour from Delhi, you will be transported in an air-conditioned car with pick-up service from your hotel in Delhi. This trip is designed specially for people who want to visit Taj Mahal but don't have a lot of time. You will start your journey from the airport or your hotel and ride directly through Yamuna Expressway to Agra.
6:00am - You will be picked up from your hotel or airport in Delhi and you will enjoy your morning ride to Agra through Yamuna Expressway. This journey will take 3 hours.
9.00am - Upon reaching Agra, you will meet your English Speaking guide, who will take you to the Taj Mahal. The Taj Mahal was built by the 5th Mughal King Shah Jahan in the name of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal.
11.00am - After exploring the Taj Mahal, you will head to Agra Fort. This fort was built in 1565AD. The Agra Fort is a UNESCO World Heritage Site situated on the bank of the Yamuna river.
1.00pm - After visiting Agra Fort, relish local delicacies of Agra at lunch in an air-conditioned restaurant. After lunch, explore the local arts and crafts.
3.00pm - Visit Itmad-ud-daula. This is first tomb in India that is entirely made out of marble - white Marble Pietra Dura inlay, most elegantly realized in the Taj Mahal. This monument was commissioned by Nur Jahan, the wife of Jahangir, for her father Mirza Ghiyas Beg, originally a Persian amin in exile, who was given the title of itmad-ud-daula (pillar of state).
4.00pm - After enjoying Baby Taj, in the evening you will be taken toto Mehtabh Bagh (the backside of Taj Mahal), for a nice view and photo-taking opportunity.
5.00pm - In the evening you will proceed to Delhi from Agra through the Yamuna expressway by air-conditioned car. Your driver will drop you at your hotel, airport, or other accommodation in Delhi.
