Saltwater Fishing Yamaguchi Prefecture

On a typical day, I will meet everyone at 6:30am at the Iwakuni train Station, and from there we will head out toward the charter boat location. The time can fluctuate due to weather and tide on the day of the charter. We will stop at a fishing tackle and convince store so everyone can grab ice and lunch for the day. Once that is complete it is about an hour drive down to the charter boat location. As we head south, we will be driving along the shoreline heading toward the Oshima bridge. Generally in the morning when you look out to sea you will be able to see Japanese fishermen fishing for red snapper or in Japanese Tai. When we arrive at the ship, everyone will board the vessel and find a place where they want to fish. 

The boat that we will be on is a 60ft long vessel with all standard amenities onboard the ship. I will get all the rods rigged for everyone and pass them out to the customers in the group.

Once the boat departs the pier, it is a short distance to the fishing ground and still within sight of land. The Captain will start to search for the right spot to start fishing. Once he finds what he is looking for, he will tell everyone ok. I can assist with teaching Japanese style fishing. It usually takes about an hour or two to get the hang of it. When we start keeping fish, I will put them on the ice and take care of everything else. At the end of the day when the boat returns to the pier, I can fillet your catch, upon request. So if you want to keep the fish just let me know, and I will bring an ice chest for you. If you don't want to keep the fish, I will take care of it.

Be back at the Iwakuni train station around 1800 to 1830 depending on traffic.
