3 Lakes Scenic E-Bike tour with Lake Lucerne Boat ride

Meet at the Lucerne train station at 8:15am. Get your Flyer electric bike and helmet, and when everyone feels confident, set off through town before a short sharp uphill stretch that rewards your efforts with magnificent views over the city, the lake and the surrounding mountains (30 mins). This tour is a great alternative to hiking, or if you have teenage children, or like to bike and want to see as much as you can in a day enjoying beautiful scenery. 

As you continue on a ridge path you will overlook the local golf course, then proceed through a forest and neatly cultivated farmland. Next, you'll cruise downhill to lake level and on to the Hohle Gasse, where if you are interested, you can hear and see the William Tell story told by a unique audio-visual presentation and why he is still an important figure for the country in the 21st century (30 minutes).

Take a break in a picturesque lakeside settlement of wooden chalets, for about 30 minutes before continuing alongside more lakes and then meandering up through orchard farmland, past a busy railway junction and a nature wetland area. Ride on the outer edge of a little lake with a minuscule island that hosts a first-class restaurant accessible only by boat.

Back roads take you finally to the end point of Brunnen in time for lunch at a restaurant or a picnic (1-2 hrs) before wandering around the pretty town or visiting the Victorinox Swiss Army Knife Visitor Centre before returning with your bike by Lake Lucerne steamer for a relaxing two-hour boat ride back to Lucerne where you will return the bikes and helmets to the depot.

You reach Lucerne either at around 5pm or 6pm, depending on which boat you take.
