About this activity
You will be met at Napier’s Aquarium (the second bus stop) after disembarking from the free cruise ship shuttle.

We drive through Napier's Art Deco CBD and our first stop is at the iconic Art Deco National Tobacco for a photo opportunity. We then proceed to Esk Valley, past vineyards, stone fruit orchards, pip fruit orchards and Avocado plantations. Our next stop is the Spanish Mission style Esk Valley memorial church. This church was built in memory of soldiers who lost their lives during the First World War.

Seafield farms bounds the church and we take the farm road up to the exclusive viewing point. From here you will be able to see an wonderful views of the bay and surrounding farmland. Complementary refreshments are provided in the vineyard amongst the vines. These out door activities are weather dependent.

We then travel back to Napier and stop at the Bayview Orchard fruit shop to taste and observe local produce or buy a real fruit ice cream. The final stop is the Bluff Hill lookout overlooking the port where your cruise ship will be tied up below. You will never be in a better location to take a photo of your ship.

The tour concludes with you being delivered safely back to the Napier i-SITE from where the free shuttle will take you back to your cruise ship.

Worry-free Shore Excursion:We will ensure your excursion ends with ample time for you to return to the Napier port for your ship’s departure. In the extremely unlikely event your ship has departed, we will arrange for transportation to the next port-of-call. If your ship is delayed and you are unable to attend this activity, your money will be refunded. See our terms and conditions for full details.

This guide was also the owner of the tour company. Waste of a day. He first brought us to his neighborhood to show off his old house and his new house that he recently bought. wasted an hour driving to a little church that was basically abandoned. Not interesting at all. literally full of spider webs. Then he brought us to his old place of employment and drove up a side of a rocky mountain. I thought the van was going to tip over. we luckily made it back down alive. Our only positive on this tour was stopping someplace where we were able to purchase an ice cream cone that actually very good.

Ross was a great guide and went that extra mile to ensure we saw all the sights and more. He made an extra effort to ensure we enjoyed our time in Napier. Thank you Ross

Owner operator with great local knowledge. Small group, interesting sights. Surprise stop for a sample of the beautiful wines the area produces. Highly recommended tour.
