Full Day Tour Uros and Taquile island Classic by Speed Motor Boat

Duration: 8 hours, Distance: 75 Kilometers round trip (1 hour and 25 minutes one way to Taquile).

Similar to the Full day - Taquile Classic , with the difference that the navigation time significantly decreases.This excursion begins at 7:30am with a transfer from your hotel to the port. We then travel by speed motorboat to visit the Uros floating Islands. The boat is 35 feet long with a covered section in case of rain or cold weather . Stepping on the floating islands feels like a waterbed but it is quite safe to walk on them. We check out 2 of the 60 the islands located on a chanal amongst the reeds and can also arrange rides on traditional reed boats. We then continue and after 1 hour and 25 minutes of speed boat journey we arrive at Taquile Island. Here, a unique community can be observed. A long gradually ascending path takes us up to the main village and it’s worth the hike of approximately 50 minutes. At the main square there you will have some shopping aportunities, we visit the communal cooperative and then have lunch at one of the many local restaurants along the main path ways. Later we descend down to the dock departing at 2:00 pm approx. We arrive back at Puno’s port at approximately 4:00 pm and then transfer you to your hotel.
