Be picked up from your downtown Puno hotels in the afternoon and transfer to Sillustani to start the guided tour, the mausoleums reach up to 12m high and are characterized because their base is less than the upper part, Chullpas or circular stone turrets raised to house the funerary remains of the main authorities of the Colla Manor. The Stones unite with mastery and fit perfectly. The Chullpas are located on a peninsula that is introduced into the blue waters of the lagoon of Umayo, at 4000 masl. This beautiful Altiplano lagoon is fed by the Chaullamayo rivers to the southwest and Ccaccapunco to the north, has a maximum depth of approximately 14m. And communicates across the river Illpa with Lake Titicaca. At the end of the tour you will be return to your hotel (only in downtown Puno), arriving approximately at 17:45pm.
The complex was declared Cultural Heritage in 2003.
