Half-Day Food and Drink Tour

The half-day food and drink tour takes you on a culinary journey through the city that has food and drink intertwined with its history – Qingdao! The food and drink in the city is too good not to experience properly, as these are always the aspects of the trip that blow tourists away. The tour will start at 1 pm, where we will pick you up and drive you to the famous Pichai Yuan street-food market for lunch, offering the best variety of traditional Shandong street food in the city. Located in Qingdao’s old town, Pichai Yuan is a feast for both the stomach and the eyes.

Following this, at around 2 pm, we will drive to the famous Tsingtao Brewery and Beer museum. This is the perfect chance to discover the story of Qingdao’s most famous product: beer! Find out about the long history of Tsingtao brewery and see first-hand the brewing processes that make such a delicious drink. The tour will finish with a tasting session so that you can see for yourself why the beer is so popular.

After the beer museum, at around 3:30 pm, we will make our way over to Qingdao’s Wine Museum to take a guided tour. The small yet charming Wine Museum will walk you through the colonial history of Qingdao and how a whole culture of European wine developed in the far-East. Again, the tour will end in a tasting session, so you can experience the wine for yourself.

Lastly, we will head over to TaiDong night market at around 4:30 pm. This is the perfect ending to our culinary adventure, with modern twists on foods that you have never experienced before. TaiDong is a centre of both shopping and entertainment in Qingdao, and with its large LED screens and various street stalls, it’s just like the China you see on TV. Selling far more than just food, TaiDong is the perfect place for you to buy souvenirs of your trip!

We will then take you back to your hotel at around 6:30 pm.
