Cheese & Cheers Tour

Day 1: You will be met at your accommodation place by your guide and driver and we will drive along mountains roads enjoying gorgeous landscapes and nature. We visit the historical building of Orthodox Seminary in Foca, set amongst green hills and taste traditional homemade products, rakija and honey produced by divines. Further you will be wowed by the impressive nature of the oldest national park of Bosnia and Herzegovina - Sutjeska National Park, which is home for the last jungle in Europe. After tasting authentic delicious roasted lamb we will move to lovely countryside in Gacko and visit local farmhouse to degustate homemade traditional cheese and kajmak in sack. On our way to Trebinje, you’ll be taking the scenic route through East Herzegovina, a natural paradise of mountains, forests and stones, as well as a large Bileca lake. After short relax at the hotel, the dinner will be served in a family‐run winery offering a choice of rakija, wines and rich traditional herzegovinian dishes.
Day 2: After a rich breakfast we will visit the local market situated at the main city square In the shade of magnificent, old sycamore trees, where locals sells herbs, cheese, fruits and honey. We will tour to the famous monumental Arslanagica bridge and after that we will make our way to visit to a unique wine producer and taste their wares served with delicious home-made Herzegovinian cheese and prosciutto. On our way to Stolac you’ll be treated to an off-road tour through typical Herzegovinian old villages, combining amazing scenery with authentic local charm. Stolac is one of the most romantic and fantastic destination hidden from touristic routes, where you will discover historical old city and the natural and architectural ensemble of the river Bregava with flour mills, fulling mills and bridges. After a tasting lunch in the mansion´s restaurant paired with the local wines and digestives, we will explore fabulous old castle, mysterious ancient Illyrian city Daorson, and UNESCO heritage protected site of stecak tombstones Radimlja. For dinner this evening prepare to taste delicious and exotic herzegovinian dishes from fresh trout, frog and eel - a fitting final before your transfer back to Sarajevo.
