Wild life adventure

Hotell Sommarhagen is situated in the beautiful wilderness of southern Sweden - but still in between Stockholm and Gothenbourg (only 2,5 h drive from both cities). We can offer our guests all the good in life - ‘outdoor light’ with wonderful nature, comfort and food made from local products. Close, but still far away, with an average population like in Lapland.

Enjoy walking through forest, meadows, and past lakes in a fantastic, hilly landscape. Sweden for real! 

In this package you arrive in the afternoon to the old vicorage.

Check into your comfortable room (private bathroom & WiFi), enjoy your dinner at the summer veranda with a view over the field..

After breakfast you will get a map and instructions and off you go on your hike in the forest. Walk straight into nature on soft forest paths and over steep rocky hills. Mysterious lakes and a fantastic John Bauer landscape surrounds you. There is a good chance that you will be meeting “the king of the forest” the moose, fox, wild boar and maybe even a lynx.

You will pass fantastic views and after a while you will reach a half island, on which your wind shelter is placed – just on the border line of a wilderness lake. Here you will find your equipment and food for the stay. Just beside your windshield lies your canoe. Revel in the silence whilst paddling in wilderness lake, embark on an island or just listen to the birds sing. Perhaps you’ll enjoy a bath in the lake before the sun sets and it’s time to light the fire and prepare your meal.

Then you go to bed in your sleeping bag in the windshield, listening to the sounds of the wild animals and the wind in the trees.

After a good night sleep in the silence, you will wake up at sun rise, listening to the birds singing. 

After breakfast you’ll return to Sommarhagen and your comfortable room there.

Here you will be served a dinner with local products before you relax in the outdoor hot tub while the sun sets.
