Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive to Ulaanbaatar.

Pass By: Ulaanbaatar Railway Station, Ulaanbaatar
At the airport you will be met by our city guide and will accompany you to your hotel. In the afternoon we will introduce you to the rich history of Ulaanbaatar! Visit main highlights as Buddhist center (Gandan Monastery), Museum of Traditional history and Zaisan hill. Welcome dinner at restaurant.

Day 2: Arrive to Bayan-Olgii province!

Pass By: Altai Tavan Bogd National Park, Olgiy, Bayan-Olgii Province
This morning, your guide will meet you in the lobby and take you to the airport. Arrive to westernmost part of Mongolia. Welcome to heart of Altai. At the airport you will be welcomed by our local team. English speaking tour guide, driver and expedition cook. Our province is famous for Altai mountains and nomadic eagle hunter's. Drive to North entrance of Altai Tavan Bogd National Park.

Day 3: To base camp on horseback

Pass By: Altai Tavan Bogd National Park, Olgiy, Bayan-Olgii Province
The Altai Tavan Bogd basecamp is one of the most beautiful place in Mongolia. At the camping side you have opportunity to enjoy panoramic view of Altai mountains, the highest peak Mount Khuiten and Potanin glacier. All baggage will be transported by camels. Enjoy your trip.

Day 4: To White-River valley on horseback

Pass By: Altai Tavan Bogd National Park, Olgiy, Bayan-Olgii Province
Today we will go back down to South entrance of National Park. All baggage will be transported by camels. At the valley meet nomadic Tuvan people, who have own language and religion Shamanism. Set up our tents by the White-River.

Day 5: Black-River valley.

Pass By: Altai Tavan Bogd National Park, Olgiy, Bayan-Olgii Province
As usual all camping and cooking stuff will be transported by camels. In the Black-Valley you meet Tuvan families. Visit a nomadic Tuvan family and explore about nomadic traditions and Shamanism religion.

Day 6: Bear-Valley

Pass By: Altai Tavan Bogd National Park, Olgiy, Bayan-Olgii Province
The Bear-Valley is famous for with stunning wild nature. First we need pass a Takhilt-Pass. There are some steep part of trail and it is better to walk and lead our horses. Enjoy breathtaking view of Bear-Valley. Also you can see wild animals like deer, fox or bear.

Day 7: Khoton and Khurgan lakes

Pass By: Altai Tavan Bogd National Park, Olgiy, Bayan-Olgii Province
Afternoon we will arrive finish line of horse riding. Horses and camels will turn back, say "goodbye" to our horseman. We will switch to off road cars and drive further about 2 hours. Stay by the Khoton lake. This is nomads summer place. Enjoy surrounding nature.

Day 8: Drive back to Olgii

Pass By: Altai Tavan Bogd National Park, Olgiy, Bayan-Olgii Province
After breakfast drive back to Olgii. On the way we will visit nomadic Eagle hunter's family. Explore more about amazing traditional hunting with specially trained golden eagle. Enjoy hospitality of Kazakh people. On arrival short city tour. Visit local Bazaar. Farewell dinner at restaurant.

Day 9: Return to Ulaanbaatar

Pass By: Ulaanbaatar Railway Station, Ulaanbaatar
Fly back to Ulaanbaatar. Our city guide will pick you up from airport. Transfer to your hotel. At the evening we will visit traditional concert where you can enjoy traditional throat sinning.

Day 10: Departure
