Day 1: Urumqi--Kuqa by air

Stop At: Kuqa Grand Bazar, Tuanjie New Bridge, Kuqa County 842000 China
Met and transferred to Urumqi airport from your centrally located Urumqi hotel, where you will fly to Kuqa. The flight information will be sent to you after the booking. Upon arrival, you will visit the Grand Bazaar in Kuqa.

Day 2: Kuqa

Stop At: Kizil Thousand Buddha Caves (Kezi'er Qian Fo Dong), Kizil Town, Baicheng County 842300 China
Take 1.5-hour ride in the morning to Kizil Grottos that is one of the oldest grottos in China. There are colorful frescos and paintings in these caves to display the Jatakas stories.

Stop At: Tianshan Mysterious Grand Canyon, Near of 217 National Rd North, Kuqa County China
Then you will take 1-hour ride to Tianshan Grand Canyon. The 5-km long canyon is impressive for its splendid red rocks. Afterwards you will drive back to Kuqa.

Day 3: Kuqa to Kashgar by overnight train

Stop At: Subashi Gucheng Temple, Beishan Mountain, Suburbs, Kuqa County 842000 China
You will visit the large ruin of the renown temple, Subash. The ruin displays its splendid past with the huge wall, gate, and the halls.

Stop At: Kuche Temple, The highest point of the Black Pier Bazaar Paha Tabaza Road, Kuqa County 842000 China
This mosque is situated in the old town of Kuqa, renown for its old buildings and the islamic court.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Kuche Royal Palace, Linjilu Street, Kuqa County 842000 China
The palace was rebuilt recent years, but it is still insteresting to view the relics from Kuqa area in the museum.

Later you will catch overnight train to Kashgar for about 8 hours.

Day 4: Kashgar

Stop At: Kashgar Bazaar, Kashgar 844000 China
Upon arrival, you will visit Kashgar old town. The traditional Uyghur houses are well decorated with flowers, trees, and paintings. Then you will move to the Grand Bazaar. It is interesting to explore the local shops for handicrafts, souvenirs, and scarves etc.

Stop At: Id Kah Mosque, Jiefang North Road Thirsty Camel Tours, Kashgar 844000 China
Visit the old mosque in the city center. The earliest history of the mosque can be tracked back to 1442AD. You can go inside of the mosque to view the old houses.

Stop At: Kashgar Live Stock Market, Kashgar 844000 China
You will visit this market on Sunday only. If you want to visit here, you must ensure to get to Kashgar on Sunday. The sheep, cows, yaks, and horses are sold in the open market. Local farmers are from nearby area to sell and buy their livestocks here on Sunday.

Stop At: Gaotai Ancient Homes, Tuman Riverside, Southeast of old city, Kashgar 844000 China
This area is part of the old town in Kashgar. The houses are well preserved, you can wander in the narrow lanes. Afterwards you will be transferred to hotel in Kashgar where the tour concludes. We can offer a free Kashgar airport transfer for next day if you need it.
