Great tour. Some nice views from Mt Victoria and few filming locations. Great guide, Wei Wei, had lots of cool stories about films and Wellington. Weta workshop is must for any fan, tour in shop was great, had a change to see what kind of amzing things they are doing.
The tour was nice, our guide had lots of little infos on the locations of the filming of the trilogies, and made sure we had a nice time while on the tour.
It's a pretty good tour, really professional and friendly guides. It was nice we had plenty of time to pose and take pictures.
Our tour guide was WyWy and he was fantastic. His animated story telling made the tour experience well worth it.
Our guide was great and had us cracking up the whole time! Even as a huge lord of the rings fan I still learned a bunch. Weta cave was amazing as well. Incredible what they do there and everyone was so knowledgeable and nice!
It was an enjoyable day and a very interesting attraction. Make sure you ready to hike during the first portion of the tour.
We did the Lord of the Rings Half Day Tour on our Cruise Trip 2018. We had the pleasure of having Jack O'connor as our Private tour guide for the afternoon. Jack was great! he drove us around and talked passionally about Wellington and Weta studio. Despite the fact the first film was released back in 2001, now almost 20 years we still share the memories of the film with such enthusiasm, as we revisited the forest scene where the hobbits first encounter the Nazgûl. Then it was off to Weta Studio workshop where we got to see alot of the production works from films Weta worked on...Overall had a great time made even better with our tour guide Jack. I had 2 young kids with us and Jack kept them entertained all the way. Highly recommended this tour and if you're luck enough to get Jack as your guide even better :
