Bosnia and Herzegovina: Medjugorje Private Day Trip from Zadar

Meet your driver-guide at your Zadar area hotel at about 9am, and travel northward along Croatia’s picturesque coast by private vehicle.

This small town became famous in 1981, when six local children reported seeing visions of the Virgin Mary. Since then, they have experienced further apparitions, and the sites of their visions have drawn millions of pilgrims.

Visit the St. James Church, the 1960s parish church with its exterior altar that has become a pilgrimage center. Then, maybe climb to the Statue of Our Lady that commemorates the visions on Crnica Hill, and visit Krizevac Hill, where a cross erected in 1934 seemingly presaged the apparitions 50 years later.
