Day 1: Arrival & Brunei by Night Tour

Stop At: Jame'Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque, Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah Highway or Jalan Jame Asr, Bandar Seri Begawan Brunei Darussalam
Named after Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzadin Waddaulah the 29th Sultan of Brunei Darussalam, was built in 1988. The mosque has been noted as an architectural masterpiece. It took its form from Turkish mosques, with its four tall minarets overlooking the grand, golden domes. Serene gardens decorate the landscape, with fountains and pools with many species of flowers and plants.
Duration: 35 minutes

Stop At: Gadong Night Market, Simpang 37, Bandar Seri Begawan Brunei Darussalam
This night market opens all year round from 4 pm - 11 pm. It is nice place to experience local food choices from grilled chicken, satay, fish, traditional malay food and pancakes, fresh drinking, western fast food and many more.

Stop At: Istana Nurul Iman, Jalan Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha, Bandar Seri Begawan BA1000 Brunei Darussalam
Istana Nurul Iman was included in the Guinness Book of Records as the world's largest living residence of a state head. it is the biggest palace and royal residence of the world. This massive royal dwelling is several times larger than the Palace of Versailles and the Buckingham Palace. We'll stop here for taking the photo at the main entrance

Day 2: Half-Day City & Water Village Tour

Pass By: Lapau, Jalan Bendahara, Bandar Seri Begawan BS8611 Brunei Darussalam
The Lapau is located in Bandar Seri Begawan, across the Royal Regalia Museum and the Brunei History Centre. It is the ceremonial hall where the royal ceremonies of Brunei are traditionally held. In this place, beneath the interior's golden-domed ceiling, that the present Sultan of Brunei, Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, was crowned on 1 August 1968. Adjoining the Lapau is the old Dewan Majlis or Parliament House.


Pass By: Brunei Legislative Council building, Jalan Dewan Majlis, Bandar Seri Begawan BB3913 Brunei Darussalam
The Council was established in 1959 by virtue of Article 23 of Brunei's Constitution of 1959. Its first sitting was held at Lapau on 21 October 1959. In 1984, the Council managed to hold 32 meetings; the last one being the 21st Meeting held on 12 February 1984. Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah dissolved the Council on the following day.


Pass By: Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddin Mosque, Jalan Mc Arthur, Bandar Seri Begawan BS8711 Brunei Darussalam
It is named after Omar Ali Saifuddien III, the 28th Sultan of Brunei, who initiated its construction. The mosque serves as a symbol of the Islamic faith in Brunei and dominates the skyline of Bandar Seri Begawan. The building was completed in 1958 and is an example of modern Islamic architecture.

Stop At: Brunei Museum, Jalan Kota Batu Bandar Seri Begawan Brunei, Bandar Seri Begawan 1510 Brunei Darussalam
The museum building has elaborate carvings and designs which are traditional Malay, akin to the designs on the Tomb of Sultan Bolkiah, ruler of the Brunei Sultanate in the 15th century. The museum has several galleries such as Islamic-art gallery, a natural history gallery, and a gallery to hold temporary exhibitions. The History Gallery is where the displays relate to the history of Southeast Asia with relevance to Brunei from the time of the Spanish and Portuguese occupation in the 16th century.

Stop At: Royal Regalia Museum, Jalan Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien, Bandar Seri Begawan BS8811 Brunei Darussalam
In the true cult of personality style, the building – truthfully, more of a museum – houses exhibits to illustrate the important upbringing, education, marriage, travels, coronation and subsequent rule of the current Bruneian head of state. Inside, all belongings, including cameras must be left at the counter to enter and enjoy the chronology of the Sultan’s life. There are replicas of His throne, various crowns, gowns, weapons and splendid examples of tributes offered to the Sultan. Gifts of elaborate crystal, jade, ivory, and silver, to name a few.

Stop At: Kampong Ayer - Venice of East, Brunei River Jalan Mc Arthur, Bandar Seri Begawan Brunei Darussalam
Kampong Ayer has more than enough uniqueness and history about it to be considered separately. Meaning “water village”, Kampong Ayer is built on stilts above the Brunei River. More than 30,000 people inhabit Kampong Ayer, the largest water settlement in Southeast Asia, and travel about by boat or the extensive network of wooden walkways, footbridges, and boardwalks. Tour starts by taking a boat ride on the local "Water Taxi" on the Brunei River, visit one of the houses built on stilts where local cakes and tea will be served.
