About this activity

Meet in central Hobart or New Norfolk in the morning. Travel by bus to the starting point near Bushy Park. Dress and prepare for your journey rafting the Derwent River. Your local operator will provide you with all of the necessary equipment and safety gear, however please ensure you bring your own swimwear, towel and a change of clothes if needed.

While on tour, you might be able to spot the resident white bellied sea eagle at home in his nest or the shy platypus poking around the willows. Enjoy a swim in the easy rapids or warm peaceful reaches.
The group will stop at the Broken Bridge Rapid for a wonderful lunch before resuming the journey past Tim Reed's cherry orchards and river gums to finish at Hayes.
At the end of your day, you will be returned by bus to New Norfolk by 4pm or Hobart by 5pm.
